Have you ever wondered why you should consider using your own website?
Lets look at some things that you may think about when deciding.
To have a website or not!
For any business, customers are the most important. Try running any business without them and you will understand. Lets take a retail shop as an example. It sits on the street with its window loaded with things that it hopes customers will want to buy. The customer walks past, looks into the window and either carries on walking or goes into the shop to look a bit closer at what has caught their eye.
This is exactly what lots of people do on the internet. We call it browsing. Just like the customer in the shop.
Some potential buyers will look in the local directories like Hibu (Yellow pages) or Thompson’s local and lots of others. They may come across the advertisement that costs you a fortune with every new publication. They may go on to get in touch or call in.
All that is fine if you just want passing trade. If your business is performing well for you then keep going. A website may not be the best way forward.
The bigger picture.
Now lets look at the bigger picture. Supposing that instead of a local shop, we had a business supplying things like parts, appliances, disability aids, bicycles etc. These kinds of businesses rely on customers who specifically need something. These people want to find what they seek quickly, accurately and at the best price. They turn to the internet because they may not be able to find a local business that supplies what they want.
Your website will give them that information with more accuracy and clarity with up to date information on product specification and price. Last years advert is no good to them. You can now provide pictures, Graphs and up to the minute prices without the cost of continual expensive brochure re-printing.
